Currently accessible
Not blocked at the country level, but common school, office, and hostel networks in Nigeria filter them. Route through AnyProxy to skip that filter.
Background
Nigeria banned X (formerly Twitter) for seven months in 2021, and periodic restrictions on messaging apps have followed. Filtering is enforced at the ISP level via NCC (Nigerian Communications Commission) directives. School and workplace networks add local filtering.
How the filtering works: Nigerian ISPs implement NCC directives via DNS. Coverage is inconsistent — some ISPs block, others do not.
ISPs in Nigeria
Most Nigeria filters live at the ISP or workplace level. Routing through AnyProxy sends only encrypted traffic to us — the ISP sees the connection, not the destination.
The essentials
Law & policy
Web proxy use is legal in Nigeria. Access to any site suspended by court or NCC order remains regulated.
Not legal advice. School and workplace policies may still prohibit proxy use even where the tool itself is lawful.
Billing
Free tier stays free. 3 local payment methods accepted for Pro on Nigeria networks.
Rendering
Nigeria-hosted pages render in the language they were served in. Proxying moves where the request comes from, not what it says — no translation layer.
